How to Create an Inspection on iOS Devices

In CaptuData, inspections can be carried out either through a form or by recording a route.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how to start an inspection from the mobile app.

🔹 Step 1: Find the Project

Once you’ve logged in, the app will display a screen similar to the one shown in the example image.

To start a new inspection, tap the ( + ) button.

🔹 Step 2: Select the Project

The app will display a list of available projects.

Select the project you have permission to access and where you want to create the inspection.

Result: The selected project will open, allowing you to proceed to the next step.

🔹 Step 3: Choose the Type of Inspection

After selecting the project, you’ll be prompted to choose the type of inspection you want to perform.

You can select one of the following options:

  • Form-Based Inspection — Use a predefined form to record responses.

  • Route-Based Inspection — Record the inspection by following a physical path or area.

If you select “Form-Based Inspection,” a list of available forms will appear so you can choose the one you want to use for that inspection.

Result: Once you select the inspection type (and form, if applicable), the inspection will be created and ready to begin.

Notes
  • Make sure your device is connected to the internet the first time you log in and access your projects.

  • Afterward, you can also perform inspections offline, and the data will automatically sync once you reconnect.
