How to Create an Inspection on Android Devices

Creating an inspection in the CaptuData mobile app is simple and intuitive.
Follow the steps below to get started 

🔹 Step 1: Find the Project

Once you’ve logged in, the app will display a screen similar to the image below.
To start a new inspection, simply tap the button with the ( + ) sign.

🔹 Step 2: Select the Project

Next, you’ll see a screen where you can choose from the list of projects you have access to.
Select the project where you want to create the inspection.

🔹 Step 3: Select the Type of Inspection

After selecting the project, you’ll be prompted to choose the type of inspection you want to perform.
You can choose between two options:

  • Form-based Inspection 📝 – fill out a predefined form.

  • Route-based Inspection 🚶 – record your inspection along a route.

If you select “Form-based Inspection”, an additional option will appear to choose which form you want to use for that inspection.

Once you’ve made your selection, tap the “Create” button to start your inspection.

Make sure your device has internet access the first time you log in and access your projects.
After that, you can also work offline and sync your data later when you reconnect.
