How to Add Evidence to an Existing Observation on iOS Devices
In the CaptuData mobile app, you can add additional evidence — such as photos, audio, videos, or text notes — to an existing observation as long as the inspection has not been finalized.
Follow the steps below to add new evidence 👇
Step 1: Open the Observation List
In your project’s list of observations, tap on any observation you want to edit.
A new screen will appear, similar to the example image shown below.
Step 2: View the Evidence Gallery
On this screen, you’ll see a gallery displaying all previously collected evidence for that observation.
At the bottom of the screen, you’ll also find options to add new evidence, such as:
📷 Photo
🎙️ Audio
🎥 Video
📝 Text
Simply tap the icon for the type of evidence you want to add, and follow the on-screen prompts.
You can only add or delete evidence from an observation while the inspection is still open.Once the inspection is finalized, editing options will no longer be available.
Adding more evidence to an existing observation helps keep your inspection records complete and detailed.Always review your evidence before finishing the inspection to make sure all important information has been included.
