How to Pause or Finish a Route-Type Inspection on Android Devices
The pause and finish options in route-type inspections allow you to manage your fieldwork efficiently — whether you need to take a short break or complete your inspection.
Follow these steps to pause or finish an inspection properly 👇
Pause an Inspection
You can use the pause function when you need to take a break but plan to continue later.
This ensures that your recorded route is not lost.
Steps:
Tap the Pause (⏸️) button on the inspection screen.
The app will temporarily stop recording your route and data.
💡 Tip: Wait 30 seconds to 1 minute before tapping the Play (▶️) button again.
This allows your device’s GPS to recalibrate and ensure an accurate location when you resume.
Result: Your inspection will continue seamlessly from where you left off.
Finish an Inspection
When your route is complete:
Tap the “Finish” button on the screen.
A confirmation message will appear asking if you’re sure you want to end the inspection.
Tap “Confirm” to finalize it.
Once confirmed, the inspection will be closed and saved in the app’s inspection list.
Result: Your route data and collected evidence will be securely stored and ready to synchronize with the system.
After finishing, the inspection can no longer be edited.
Make sure all evidence (photos, notes, videos, etc.) has been captured before tapping “Finish.”
You’ll be able to sync your inspection once you reconnect to the internet
