Work Orders on Android Devices

Available only for Android devices

Work Orders are inspections assigned by a Supervisor or Administrator to an Inspector as specific tasks or objectives to be completed.

These assigned inspections can be viewed and managed directly from the CaptuData mobile app.
Here’s how to access and identify them

Viewing Work Orders

In the inspection panel, you can filter what type of inspections are displayed:

  1. All Inspections – shows every inspection available in the project.

  2. Work Order Inspections Only – displays only those inspections assigned through a work order.

  3. Inspections Started from the App – shows inspections manually created from the mobile app.

Identifying Work Order Inspections

Inspections assigned through a Work Order include additional indicators such as:

  • Tracking number

  • Status (Pending or In Progress)

  • Priority level (High, Medium, or Low)

These visual indicators help inspectors easily identify which inspections were assigned as part of a work order.

Starting a Work Order Inspection

To begin an assigned inspection:

  1. Tap on the inspection you received via a Work Order.

  2. A window will open with detailed information about the inspection.

  3. Tap the button “Start Inspection” (or “Perform Inspection”) to begin the process — as shown in the example image.

Result: The inspection will open, and you can begin collecting data, attaching evidence, and completing the assigned tasks.

NotesTips
  • Always review the priority and deadline before starting a Work Order.

  • If an inspection shows as Pending, it hasn’t been started yet.

  • Once you begin, the status will change to In Progress.

  • You can sync your completed Work Order once you reconnect to the internet.
