Record the Physical Progress of a Project

Registering the Physical Progress of a Project or Work in CaptuData

The physical progress of a project or work is a key indicator for monitoring and controlling its progress. In CaptuData, you can easily record both physical and financial progress for your projects in an organized way.

This guide will show you how to record a new physical progress entry and how to view the history of previous records.


 Steps to register physical progress

  1. Access the Works Panel
    From the main menu, go to the Works module.

  2. Search for the project or work
    Use the search bar or available filters to find the project or work you want to update.

  3. Click “View details”
    Open the detailed view of the project to access all related information.

  4. Locate the Physical Progress indicator
    In the details view, identify the field or card labeled Physical progress.

  5. Click on “Physical progress”
    A window will appear with two sections:

    • Register progress: to enter a new progress value.

    • View history: to review previous progress records.


 Registering new progress

  1. In the pop-up window, click “Register progress”.
    A form will appear with the following fields:

    • Physical progress percentage: this value is cumulative (not partial).

    • Effective date: represents the actual date of progress. By default, the system will display the current date, but you can change it if needed.

    • Planned physical progress (optional): you may record the planned progress according to the project’s schedule.

  2. Once all information is filled in, click “Register Progress” to save your changes.


Viewing progress history

  1. To review previous records, select “View history.”
    You will see a list of all progress entries recorded throughout the project’s execution period.
    You can also register new progress directly from this view.


NotesImportant notes

  • The physical progress value represents a cumulative percentage.

  • The date of the record reflects the actual date the progress was achieved.

  • You can make as many records as needed during the project’s execution.
